September 2019 Projects

The August List

• Finish seashell skirt
• Hang art
• Replace back door
• Pipe two pieces of the tunikurti
• Set up rain barrels at back house corners
• Plant roses
• Construct garden gate
• Wash wool
• Sew octopus skirt
• Install kitchen faucet
• Install clothesline poles
• Take in bridesmaid dress

That's actually a lot more than I expected to knock off, along with quite a bit of hexagoning and house organization, moving my girlfriend in, moving her out again, and stuffing my garage with probably more building materials than I really need to be hoarding.

I'm crossing off the roses and wool because I did make progress on both, despite not completely finishing those tasks. It's fine. I'll do them this month. Really.

I did manage to hang almost all my art, including putting a bunch of it in frames, and installed my clothesline poles twice (because I didn't dig the anchors deep enough the first time, so had to haul the poles out—now with attendant 60ish pounds of concrete attached—and dig much deeper and more undercut holes. They'd better stay put now, but I'm letting them cure longer just in case).

The September List

• Replace back door
• Pipe two pieces of the tunikurti
• Set up rain barrels at back house corners
• Construct garden gate
• Sew octopus skirt
• Install kitchen faucet
• Hexify six fat quarters
• Wash wool (more)
• Build kitchen counter
• Ply black alpaca
• Spin one single cactus fiber
• Set bricks for clothesline patio

I have so many plans and so little time and another week out of town, so this list is is aspirational as always.

A number of these things aren't more than a day's work, though, so maybe. Maaaaaybe. This is the month where I blow The List out of the water.
