The main motif for Bananabella's Christmas present is done! And it's lovely.

The Kaw Valley Watershed sweater probably won't get more stitches put on it until next year, with the knitting I'm hoping to do for Christmas, so I'm going to pull it off the list for now.

I did end up sewing most of the wool gauze tunic, but tried it on and wasn't happy with how it's sitting, so set it aside until I got back from my trip. I may pick it up again—or I may pull it apart and recut pieces. Either way, it would be nice to finish while there's enough cold weather left to enjoy it!

The Ireland knapsack was a very excellent prototype! It needs fine-tuning, but it served my purposes well, and I know what I want to modify before the next trip.

I'm also counting Inktober as a success, despite having a few prompts yet to catch up on. There was a full week-and-some-change of international travel tucked into this month.

The November List

• Complete body for Bananabella's Christmas present
• Complete border for Bananabella's Christmas present
• Ply black alpaca
• Finish C's Christmas present
• Start Mum's Christmas present
• Make Draca and Bones' Christmas presents
• Wash brown Shetland fleece lock-by-lock
• Sew wool gauze tunic
• Sew autumn plaid skirt
• Angular animals!
• Prep bigger cotton bed
• Prep flax bed
• Finish a 10k run!

The body and border of Bananabella's Christmas present is by far the most pressing item on the list now, but I'm sure I'll make progress on several other things at times and in places I can't work on hers.

The black alpaca, for example, ought to be a quick thing to finish.

Sewing-wise, in addition to the wool tunic, I'd like to turn some of the plaid silk I bought years ago into a skirt; probably something relatively simple, pleated into a waistband. Stashbusting and a new holidayish garment! I'm also going to keep hexagons somewhere handy, so I can keep quietly working toward a copy paper box absolutely stuffed with prepped hexies.

Otherwise, Christmas presents proceed apace (if not...quite at fast enough pace...) and the garden needs a little more work before being put to bed for the season, and as I really enjoyed Inktober, I have a list prepped of animals to do up in the angular sketchy style I tried on one of my Inktober doodles. It's a fun exercise, and yet another way to more or less trick myself into using my supplies rather than hoarding them until they're useless anyway.

And I'm going to complete a 10k run! Twice my prior distance, and all I need to do is finish it, whether I end up walking most of it or not. We'll see what my feet have to say about it.
